The Esthetician Apprenticeship Program is a hands-on, 90-day intensive designed to help new or transitioning estheticians refine their skills in facials, waxing, and customer care in a real spa setting. This is more than just training—it’s an opportunity to grow, learn, and connect as you experience the mentorship and day-to-day operations of a thriving spa.
Throughout the program, you’ll shadow experienced estheticians, observe client interactions, and fully immerse yourself in the culture and values that make Desert Rose Beauty & Wellness a beloved destination for self-care in Lake Jackson, TX.
Typical Responsibilities of a Full-Time Esthetician
During the apprenticeship, you’ll shadow and learn the following tasks, which are integral to a full-time esthetician role at Desert Rose Beauty & Wellness:
Skincare Expertise
Learn our skincare products (retail and backbar) to provide informed recommendations tailored to each client’s needs.
Conduct thorough skin analyses to determine clients’ skincare goals and challenges.
Educate clients on skincare techniques, routine maintenance, and the importance of long-term care.
Treatment Services
Perform a variety of treatments, including facials, skin brightening/lightening, LED therapy, brow lamination, brow tint, brow stain, and waxing/tweezing. (The spa may introduce new services at its discretion, and personal treatment suggestions are welcomed.)
Maintain accurate records of each client’s treatments and progress to ensure consistent care.
Work efficiently within time standards to provide a seamless client experience.
Client Relations
Build and maintain a loyal client base by delivering exceptional customer service and personalized follow-up.
Follow up with new clients weekly via calls or texts and reach out to past clients to re-engage them with the spa.
Greet clients with a warm and welcoming demeanor, ensuring a positive and relaxing experience.
Administrative Support
Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, checking clients in and out, rebooking, and handling phone or text communications.
Help maintain inventory and ensure supplies are well-stocked for treatments.
Spa Operations
Set up and take down treatment rooms before and after services.
Open and close the spa as needed, ensuring a smooth start and end to the day.
Take care of light housekeeping tasks such as laundry (wash, dry, fold, and put away linens), vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and trash removal.
Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Team Collaboration
Actively participate in team and individual communications through Telegram.
Attend and contribute to team meetings to support a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
Stay updated with industry trends, new techniques, and emerging products to enhance your skills and provide the best service possible.
Additional Responsibilities
Assist with other duties as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the spa.
Representative Preferred Requirements:
Recent Graduate or 1 year of experience
Customer service or sales experience
Basic computer knowledge
High School Diploma
Efficient with Instagram and Facebook
Available to work at least one evening shift Tue-Fri and two Saturdays.
